Is there a better way to start a new day than with a good breakfast?
This very thought was the one that made us jump out of the warm covers of our bed on Sunday and embark in a new culinary adventure.
After much thought we decided to visit Búlali, a cafe that serves food and craft pastries.
We arrived at about 10:00 am, in which time the place was just about packed with people, but luckily one of the tables located on the outside terrace was vacant, it was the perfect place to get some breakfast with some fresh air on a weekend.
After a few seconds, a really nice waiter came by arranged our table and took our order.
We decided to order: Benedict Eggs, Vegetarian Omelet, half a portion of French Toast, a delicious fresh brewed coffee, fresh squeezed Orange Juice and Coconut Water.
The experience in this place is undoubtedly excellent, the attention from the staff was impeccable and efficient, to the point that it makes you feel at home, and I don’t know about you but for us this is as important as the quality of the food itself.
The food is without a doubt as excellent as the service, not only for it’s amazing taste but also for it’s great presentation, which in these days, incredible as it may sound, it is sometimes difficult to find.
This place has a homey, informal and friendly atmosphere, making it the ideal place for a weekend breakfast, lunch or afternoon cup of coffee with delicious pastries.
The menu offers a wide variety of options, apart from the delicious breakfast options, it also offers amazing salads, sandwiches, flat pizzas, tartines and a good variety of sweet and salty pastries for everyone. In addition, it also offers a healthy variety of juices, smoothies and organic coffees.
One of the things that caught our attention is that the menu is based on organic products supporting local farmers, they also have sugar free and gluten free options, this definitely sealed the deal of making it a great place for us.
From our point of view Búlali, it’s one of those few places where food is a culinary experience worth experiencing more than once.
This place is located at Avenida Escazú, a great outdoor shopping and restaurant center, so you will also have the chance to sight see the area.
